Professional Summary

Sara has experience providing Occupational Therapy assessments and intervention for clients with a wide range of ages and abilities, including youth, adults, and older adults with neurological, physical, and mental health challenges. In recent years, her work has primarily focused on supporting adults experiencing mental health difficulties and individuals with chronic pain or who have sustained traumatic brain injuries. Sara provides services for clients through various programs, including the Department of National Defense (DND), Partners in Canadian Veteran Rehabilitation Services (PCVRS), Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), and extended health insurance providers.

Sara believes in the importance of an individualized, evidence-based, and strengths-based approach to helping clients optimize their functioning and well-being.  She works in collaboration with her clients to find creative, practical solutions and strategies that meet each client’s unique needs. She is passionate about helping people achieve their goals and improve their lives through addressing the values and activities that mean the most to them.

Sara prioritizes learning and personal growth, and she regularly participates in professional development opportunities to expand knowledge and clinical tools. Sara has a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MScOT) degree from Queen’s University and she has completed continuing education training in areas such as:
