Alina Carranco has experience working with the rehabilitation teams of clients who have sustained complex and catastrophic injuries in motor vehicle accidents, as well as with private pay clients. Through her work with ModernOT, she has worked with clients with congenital disorders, acquired orthopaedic injuries, chronic pain, mental illness, spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries.
She is skilled in maintaining communication between rehabilitation team members, disseminating client information to the appropriate medical and therapy providers, identifying suitable community services and resources, initiating and issuing referrals, and maintaining an organized and up-to-date medical/rehabilitation file for her clients.
Alina is an associate member of the Vocational Rehabilitation Association of Canada, and her academic background is in cognitive science and neuroscience.
Alina has a background in competitive sport. She has experience coaching able-bodied children, adolescents and adults, as well as individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities. She currently enjoys paddling, hiking and camping with her friends and family in her free time.
