Professional Summary

Aditi obtained her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from McMaster University in 2003.  Aditi also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Kinetics (2001) and her Developmental Services Diploma from St. Lawrence College (1997).

Aditi has worked for over 20 years as an OT in various clinical settings with various age groups. She has had the opportunity to teach at the University of Ottawa and assist with adult-based learning at the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre. She has worked in an array of clinical settings, including schools, shelters, homes/residential settings, workplaces, and hospitals. Aditi has had the opportunity to work in both the private and public sectors of Occupational Therapy.

Aditi currently provides support to clients with a concurrent disorder, dual diagnosis or adults living with a severe and persistent mental illness (including but not limited to depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, dissociative identity disorder and borderline personality disorders) in the Champlain region.

Since joining the Modern OT team, Aditi has worked with clients through Partners in Canadian Veterans Rehabilitation Services (PCVRS) to provide support, including cognitive behavioural therapy and dialectical behavioural therapy, to individuals returning to civilian life after service with the Canadian Armed Forces.

She is passionate about providing rehabilitation services that are recovery-based and trauma-informed for all individuals. She also has a passion for ensuring equity/equality for all and assisting her clients in overcoming barriers to living meaningful lives. She welcomes clients from all communities and creates a safe space for all, regardless of age, gender, disability, or ethnicity.

In her spare time, Aditi enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys travel, live music, upcycling furniture, cooking and staying active.
