Professional Summary

Amrita is an internationally educated and experienced Occupational Therapist. She was ranked #1 nationally and obtained a gold medal in 2009 from AIOTA (All India Occupational Therapy Association).

Amrita completed her Baccalaureate in Occupational Therapy in 2009 and has since worked as an OT at clinics, hospitals, and not-for-profit organizations. She has accumulated wide experience in treating neurological conditions, oncology, traumatic brain injury, patients with concussions, hand injuries, and the pediatric population. She has also built in-house splint-making sets for a variety of clients at hospitals in India. Amrita immigrated to Canada in 2017 and has been associated with multiple rehabilitation clinics in Ottawa.

As part of her continuing education, Amrita has acquired various certifications, such as Critical Thinking for OTs from the University of Alberta, Motivational Interviewing from the University of British Columbia, MOOC Concussion Management from the University of Calgary, and Concussion Management for adults through Concussion Rehab Works Inc.

Amrita is a registered member with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO), and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT). She believes that success only comes with faith, patience, and perseverance. Her only measure of success is improvement in the clients she works with.
