Angelica obtained her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario and a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) with a concentration in Biomedical Sciences from Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario. Her educational background has equipped her with knowledge from diverse coursework in Disability Studies, Pathology, Social Determinants of Health, Epidemiology, Health Policy, Psychology, and Pharmacology, providing her with a robust foundation for her occupational therapy practice.

As a dedicated occupational therapist, Angelica works to support clients facing challenges in daily functioning due to physical, cognitive, or mental health difficulties. She works closely with individuals who have sustained injuries from motor vehicle accidents, as well as veterans and military personnel, offering comprehensive and client-centred interventions tailored to each person’s unique needs. Prior to joining Modern OT, Angelica has gained experience working with clients across the lifespan including supporting children with early developmental skills in a school setting and working with older adults in a palliative and complex medical care environment. Angelica has knowledge and skills related to a wide range of health conditions, including cancers, neurological disorders, developmental disorders, chronic pain, mental health disorders, traumatic injuries, and amputations that require specialized care. Angelica has a special interest in working with clients with degenerative and chronic conditions on sustainable and long-term engagement in meaningful occupations that adapt to their ongoing needs.

Angelica’s core values of integrity, compassion, and a commitment to continuous development guide her approach to occupational therapy. Angelica has specialized training and skills in mental health first aid, concussion and brain injury protocols, alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) strategies, and community addiction support. With a strong commitment to promoting holistic well-being, Angelica is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for her clients.

Outside of providing care, Angelica loves cooking, spin classes, spending time outside and with friends and family.
