Professional Summary

Following graduating from McGill University in 1993, Catherine worked in Montreal for two years, specializing in burn care and hand therapy. She has also worked in Boston and Philadelphia for a total of six years, including two years at the Philadelphia Hand Centre.

Catherine became a Certified Hand Therapist in 1999. Certified Hand Therapists (CHTs) are required to have a minimum of five years clinical experience, including 4,000 hours or more focused on hand and upper extremity therapy and pass a comprehensive exam. Catherine is also required to show continued professional and skills development in order to re-certify every five years.

Before she began work as private hand therapist in 2005, Catherine worked at The Ottawa Hospital, Riverside Campus in the Hand Therapy Department.

She is a member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.

Catherine specializes in custom splinting for the wrist and hand, including dynamic and static progressive splinting.
