Chronic Pain & Chronic Fatigue Management

The goal of occupational therapy is to assist in restoring function and creating a balance of self-care, productivity, and leisure. For many individuals, pain, fatigue, cognitive, and emotional changes, as well as other chronic symptoms, are limiting quality of life and choices of activities in a day.

In occupational therapy, there is a focus on learning techniques that increase independence in daily living. Concepts include balance of daily activities, exercise, pacing of tasks, time management, activity modification, and applying good ergonomics in your environment. Activities addressed can include personal care routines, home management tasks, childcare activity, driving, shopping, school, work, and leisure activities.
