Emma D’Andrea Brooks
Professional Summary
Emma obtained a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Toronto. She also holds a Bachelor of Psychology degree from Carleton University with a concentration in Developmental Psychology.
Emma works with individuals who are recovering from motor vehicle accidents, veterans who are adapting to life after service in the Canadian Forces, individuals returning to work after long term disability, and seniors facing challenges with daily activities due to changes in health.
Emma also has clinical experience and enjoys working with children with autism spectrum disorder, fine and gross motor delays, and sensory processing challenges. Before her master’s degree, she also worked with teens and young adults in a variety of individual and group settings, enabling life skills and community engagement.
Emma is passionate about working in a client-centered manner and enabling individuals of all ages to engage in activities they need, want, and love to do.
Emma has two cats named Ginny and Fleur. In her spare time, she enjoys kayaking, hiking, and camping in Quebec and New York, as well as painting with oil and acrylic.
