OT Mental Health Life Skills Group Therapy Program
This program uses fundamental occupational therapy coping strategies that help common symptoms of depression, anxiety, and PTSD, such as disrupted sleep, poor eating habits, and difficulty with motivation towards a daily routine. Education is provided to understand the links between mental health and engagement in activity. Group therapy also addresses isolation by meeting others experiencing similar challenges, and providing opportunities to share progress as new strategies are introduced and tried by group members from one week to the next.
