Professional Summary

Heather Katsabanis joins modernOT with ten years of experience as an occupational therapist, in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs.  Her background includes five years working in an inpatient rehabilitation facility gaining experience in multiple areas, including spinal cord injury, amputee, orthopedics, stroke and, primarily, brain injury.   She also has a special interest and skill set in vision therapy following neurological impairment.

Immediately before joining modernOT, Heather was working in a rehabilitation clinic in Calgary, Alberta, where she also served as the rehabilitation coordinator for the Brain Injury Services team. During this time she acquired additional skills in assessment and treatment of mild traumatic brain injury, coordinating interdisciplinary services and collaborating with third party sources. She also provided functional, return to work, ergonomic, and job demands analysis assessments.

Heather recently moved to the Kingston area where she leads an active life with her young family.
