Manpreet obtained her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Université de Montréal, Québec, and her Master of Health Sciences in Occupational Therapy from the University of Ottawa, Ontario.

Manpreet has clinical experience in hospitals, private health settings, and community-based settings. At Modern OT, she provides assessment and interventions to adults, seniors, military personnel, and veterans, addressing a wide spectrum of physical, cognitive, and mental health challenges. She works with individuals experiencing chronic pain, fatigue, depression, anxiety, brain injury rehabilitation, and orthopaedic and neurological conditions and can provide tailored return-to-work programs, ergonomic assessments, home and community accommodations, and seating/mobility assessments to best respond to client needs. She has worked with patients diagnosed with mild to severe cognitive loss (dementia) combined with psychiatric disorders or behaviours, in cognitive stimulation programs and cognitive remediation programs within a memory clinic.

Manpreet takes a proactive approach to continuous learning and professional development to expand her skillset and knowledge base. She has training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Behavioural Activation. She is passionate about helping others and is dedicated to supporting clients in reaching their goals and living meaningful lives. This commitment ensures that she stays up to date with the latest research, techniques, and approaches to provide high-quality services and adapt to evolving patient needs.

Prior to becoming an occupational therapist, Manpreet worked as a research assistant at the Montréal Heart Institute, evaluating the exercise guidelines for physical and cognitive activities for the elderly population during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, cooking, dancing, and staying active. She also enjoys social gatherings with family and friends.
