Professional Summary

Natalie obtained her Bachelor of Music in Performance and Education from Wilfrid Laurier University and her Master of Music in Orchestral Performance from McGill University before obtaining her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.

Natalie has clinical experience working with adults with various physical, neurological and psychological challenges, including anxiety, depression, dementia, and orthopaedic injuries. She also completed a clinical placement working with children with a broad range of neurological and developmental conditions, such as cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome, global developmental delay, autism, and spinal muscular atrophy.

In her role at Modern OT, Natalie works with a range of clients, including those with mild traumatic brain injury, amputation, chronic pain, mental health difficulties (e.g., anxiety, depression), cognitive challenges, and orthopedic injuries. Natalie collaborates with her clients to implement strategies related to chronic pain management, stress and anxiety management, sleep hygiene, desensitization and routine building to achieve their goals.

Natalie is committed to continuously enhancing her knowledge and skills as an occupational therapist by engaging in professional development opportunities such as continuing education courses and workshops. She has completed training related to Indigenous cultural awareness, program evaluation, and suicide prevention. She is also certified in First Aid and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.

In her spare time, Natalie enjoys cycling and cross-country skiing in Gatineau Park and playing board games with family and friends. She also enjoys playing her flute and continues to regard music as being one of her greatest passions.
