Professional Summary

Chanelle obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Guelph, where she completed numerous work terms in orthotics and discovered her passion for working in the health care industry. She then pursued occupational therapy due to its broad scope, client-centred practice, and opportunities for creativity and problem-solving. She graduated from Queen’s University with her Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy.

Chanelle has educational and practical experience with physical, neurological, and mental health conditions. She completed her second and third placement at Modern OT before starting to work as a new graduate.

Chanelle is passionate about continuing education to enhance her knowledge and clinical skills. She is currently certified in Gentle Persuasion Approach and has an interest in Aquatic Therapy as a means of rehabilitation. Chanelle is enthusiastic about working in collaboration with clients to support them in achieving their goals and advocating for engineered solutions that will improve her clients’ quality of life.

In Chanelle’s free time, she enjoys spending time with family, playing sports or cards, being outdoors, and trying new recipes.
