Professional Summary

Christina obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science (Honours) from the University of Guelph, where she developed a strong interest in learning about the complexities of the human body in the Advanced Study in Human Anatomy Research & Outreach Program. She then earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Queen’s University in Kingston.

Christina has experience providing client-centered care in hospital, outpatient, and community settings to adults with diverse neurological, orthopedic, mental health, and medical conditions. In her OT role at Modern OT, Christina assesses and treats individuals in the community with a focus on addressing the barriers impacting their engagement in daily activities to optimize functioning and feelings of wellness to improve quality of life.

Christina aims to seize every opportunity to learn and grow her skills and knowledge. She has completed several continuing education workshops and courses, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for OT, Cognitive Rehabilitation for OT, Motivational Interviewing for Healthcare Professionals, and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD. Additionally, Christina proudly completed the Lifestyle & Wellness Health Coach program through Yorkville University.

Christina believes in a holistic practice approach which promotes and facilitates resiliency, health, and wellness. She strives to lead by example by setting her own personal goals, prioritizing her values of health and well-being, and continuously exploring the occupations that give her life meaning so that others may be motivated to do the same.

In her spare time, Christina loves to go on long walks, listen to podcasts, and spend time with family and friends. She enjoys being active, especially dancing and taking fitness classes at her local gym.
