Alexandra Schubert

Professional Summary
Having a lifelong interest in health and wellness, Alex began her studies at the University of Ottawa where she earned an Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences degree. She then enhanced her clinical knowledge of disability and disease by completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing through Trent University in 2017. Here, she gained experience directly serving patients with a wide range of acute and chronic health concerns in a variety of healthcare settings, including orthopaedics, long-term care, and complex continuing care. Alex has a particular passion for supporting individuals with disabilities.
She has extensive experience providing therapeutic services to children and youth with autism spectrum disorder, having worked with many clients in the Ottawa area for over 7 years. Alex strongly believes in a holistic, client-centered approach to healthcare and is committed to working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team of health professionals to deliver programs and services that best support her clients’ individual needs.
Away from work, Alex enjoys spending time outdoors, gathering with family and friends, and taking care of her beloved horse, Sunny.
