Kate Berry
Professional Summary
After completing a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa in 2001, Kate obtained her Clinical Master’s in Occupational Therapy from McMaster University in 2003. Since that time, she has been providing community-based occupational therapy and case management intervention in eastern Ontario.
Kate has worked with clients across the lifespan with a broad spectrum of acquired and congenital physical, cognitive, and psychosocial impairments, including traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations, chronic pain, depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Kate also has extensive experience completing ergonomic assessments and is certified to administer the Progressive Goal Attainment Program.
Kate has been a part-time professor in the Occupational Therapy Assistant/Physiotherapy Assistant program at Algonquin College since 2017, where she teaches a course in mental health.
At Modern OT’s Ottawa office, Kate shares the Clinical Lead role with Mary Oldford-MacIntosh. Kate is also the Clinical Lead for our Kingston team.
Kate is a member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
