Olivia graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Human Kinetics (with emphasis on biophysical sciences) from the University of Ottawa in 2018 and she is a registered kinesiologist. Olivia has worked in the health and wellness field since 2016, with hands-on rehabilitation-focused experience in physiotherapy assistance, personal training, and kinesiology. She works with people suffering from traumatic brain injuries, chronic pain, mental illness (e.g., post-traumatic stress disorder), and soft-tissue injuries, with a focus on veterans, motor vehicle accident survivors, and geriatric populations. Olivia also practiced health promotion in a post-secondary education setting, worked in disability management by assessing and managing short-term and long-term disability claims and return-to-work procedures, and worked in engagement/recreation management for seniors within the retirement sector.
Olivia’s experience with diverse clientele enables her to be adaptable in situations and build rapport with individuals regardless of their situation. She uses excellent attention to detail in order to ensure that her clients receive the most individualized care possible, and she strives to mitigate risks in order to support a smooth recovery and transition to clients’ preferred lifestyles.
Health and wellness are incorporated into her lifestyle, and she enjoys staying active through sports and outdoor activities (hiking, biking, kayaking, and more) in her free time.
