Professional Summary

Alina obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cognitive Science with a specialization in Neuroscience and the Biological Foundations of Behaviour from Carleton University in 2016. She has worked in the field of rehabilitation since 2016 and as a Rehabilitation Consultant/Case Manager in Eastern Ontario since 2018. As a rehabilitation case manager, she coordinates the rehabilitation needs of individuals with catastrophic injuries, including traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury (SCI), amputations, chronic pain, soft tissue injuries, complex orthopaedic injuries and psychological injuries.

She is a member of the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (IARP) and the Vocational Rehabilitation Association (VRA) of Canada. She completed The Fundamentals of Psychometric Assessments: Understanding Validity, Reliability and Psychometric Assessment: Selection, Administration, and Interpretation of “B” Level tools through Yorkville University in 2019. She is qualified to complete Level B psychometric testing.

She completed her Life Care Planning education through the Institute of Rehabilitation Education and Training (IRET) in 2023 and obtained Canadian certification by the International Commission on Health Care Certification (ICHCC).

Her background in rehabilitation and training in Life Care Planning allows her to thoroughly assess clients’ needs and prepare comprehensive reports for clients to represent their long-term needs resulting from permanent impairment and disabilities.

Alina has a background in competitive sport. She has experience coaching able-bodied children, adolescents and adults, as well as individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities. She currently enjoys paddling, hiking and camping with her friends and family in her free time.
