Molly Koen

Professional Summary
Molly was born and raised in the Kingston area. She completed her General Carpentry Apprenticeship through St. Lawrence College in 2013, where she worked in the construction field for 8 years completing new home building and renovations. Seeking a career change, Molly worked within a factory for just over 5 years. She then made the decision in 2020 to return to school, attending the Occupational Therapy Assistant/Physiotherapy Assistant program at Loyalist College, graduating in 2022.
Molly remains connected to the Kingston community through volunteering at a local hospital. Molly has trained and certified her dog through St. Johns Ambulance Therapy Dog Program and has spent 5 years volunteering with the organization. It was through her volunteer work that Molly was motivated to pursue a career as an occupational therapy assistant.
With respect to OTA/PTA work experience, Molly has worked within multiple rehabilitation hospitals, where she gained valuable experience working in stroke and spinal cord injury rehabilitation, acute care, and long-term care in both occupational therapy assistant and physiotherapy assistant roles.
Molly has an active and creative mind, which she likes to put to good use both at work and home. During her leisure time, she can be found learning new skills, spending time down by the water, or engaging with the music community in Kingston.
