Professional Summary

Sana has been working in healthcare since 2016. She obtained her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy degree in 2016 from Tabriz University of Medical Sciences in Iran. She moved to Canada in 2019 and is currently completing the ACOTRO process for internationally educated occupational therapists to become certified to practice in Canada. Currently Sana is practicing as an occupational therapy assistant with Modern OT.

Since completing her OT degree, Sana has worked in a variety of practice settings. Her experience includes practice in neurological settings, including stroke rehabilitation, traumatic brain Injuries, and spinal cord injuries, as well as in orthopaedic settings, including hand therapy. Sana has experience with psychological disorders, including depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Sana also has 4 years of experience working with paediatric clients diagnosed with autism, as well as cerebral palsy.

Sana believes that working as an occupational therapist and occupational therapy assistant helps her to achieve her life goal, which is to help people achieve their best possible life, to promote their health/well-being, and to improve their overall quality of life.

In her spare time, Sana enjoys cooking, dancing, and hiking to explore Canada’s beautiful parks.
