Professional Summary

Samantha earned a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Queen’s University in 2006 after receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Community Health from Brock University in 2002. She has over 16 years of experience evaluating the physical, psychosocial, and cognitive abilities of individuals who are limited in the performance of their activities of daily living as a result of catastrophic and non-catastrophic injuries.

Samantha is a certified trauma informed yoga teacher. She is a certified clinical facilitator of the Overcome!™  Clinic, a trauma-informed yoga therapy program designed for those experiencing chronic stress, anxiety, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, PTSD, and other stress-based (dis)eases.

She is a certified facilitator of the Progressive Goal Attainment Program (PGAP).

Her current practice focuses on body-based therapy that enables clients to increase body awareness and to restore the body to a regulated state. Sessions focus on nourishing the mind and body using stress reduction, self-regulation, and somatic movements. Her approach to therapy is to enable clients with practical tools and strategies that help manage symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression, fatigue, trauma, difficulty sleeping, and chronic pain.

Samantha is a member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO). She is also a member of the Canadian Yoga Alliance. She holds memberships with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) and Veteran’s Yoga Project.
