Sana Fazlollahi, OTA

Professional Summary

Sana obtained her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy degree in 2016 from Tabriz University of Medical Sciences in Iran. She moved to Canada in 2019 and completed the ACOTRO certification for internationally educated occupational therapists to become certified to practice occupational therapy in Canada.

Since completing her OT degree, Sana has worked in a variety of practice settings. Her experience includes neurological settings – stroke rehabilitation, traumatic brain injuries, and spinal cord injuries, as well as in orthopaedic settings that included hand therapy.   She has worked with individuals with psychological disorders, including depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).

Sana also has 4 years of experience working with paediatric clients diagnosed with developmental delays, autism, and cerebral palsy.

As a member of Modern OT’s team in the Ottawa Valley, Sana has had the opportunity to apply all of her skills as she works with children, youth, and adults, veterans, first responders, seniors and individuals living with short term and long term disabilities, and those recovering from motor vehicle accidents.   Sana believes that working as an occupational therapist helps her to achieve her life goal, which is to help people achieve their best possible life, to promote their health/well-being, and to improve their overall quality of life.

In her spare time, Sana enjoys cooking, dancing, and hiking to explore Canada’s beautiful parks.
