Professional Summary

Sana is a dedicated and compassionate occupational therapist with a strong background in neurological, orthopedic, and mental health rehabilitation. She obtained her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy degree in 2016 from Tabriz University of Medical Sciences in Iran and later moved to Canada in 2019. After successfully completing the ACOTRO certification for internationally educated occupational therapists, she became certified to practice in Canada.

As a member of Modern OT’s Pembroke team servicing the Ottawa Valley, Sana works with adults, seniors, veterans, first responders, teenagers, children, and individuals of all ages facing short-and long-term disabilities, including those recovering from motor vehicle accidents. She is committed to helping each client achieve their highest level of independence, well-being, and overall quality of life.

With experience across a variety of healthcare settings, Sana has worked with individuals recovering from stroke, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, chronic pain, and orthopedic rehabilitation. She has also supported clients with mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, and OCD.

Sana has a passion for working with children and has years of experience helping pediatric clients with developmental delays, autism, sensory processing challenges, school-based therapy, and cerebral palsy. She focuses on improving motor skills, sensory integration, and functional independence to help children thrive in their daily lives.

Sana is committed to providing personalized care tailored to each client’s unique needs. She continuously seeks to expand her knowledge and implement evidence-based practices to enhance her clients’ well-being and quality of life.

Outside of work, Sana enjoys cooking, dancing, and hiking as she continues to explore Canada’s beautiful landscapes.
