Andrea Dreifelds
Professional Summary
Andrea is a registered Occupational Therapist who has long been fascinated by the profound connection between the body and mind. She specializes in holistic, trauma-informed care with a strong foundation in functional rehabilitation and a certificate in Somatic Experiencing®. Andrea integrates body-based therapeutic approaches to help clients restore regulation, build resilience, and re-engage in meaningful activities and daily life.
With experience across diverse practice settings, Andrea blends occupational therapy with nervous system-focused interventions to support individuals navigating stress, trauma, chronic pain, and functional challenges. Recognizing the importance of safety and feeling supported in the therapeutic process, her approach emphasizes collaboration, empowerment, and meeting each client where they are.
Andrea is a cis woman and white settler, dedicated to fostering inclusive, affirming care for people across diverse cultures, races, gender identities, sexual orientations, abilities, spiritual backgrounds, and socioeconomic experiences.
Andrea obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and Physical Education from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario (2006) and her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Queen’s University in Kingston (2009). Andrea is a member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO). She also holds membership with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) and is a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP).
Outside of work, Andrea enjoys spending time with her young family. She is a knitter, reader, and an outdoor enthusiast.
