Professional Summary
Rylie earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, and a Bachelor of Human Kinetics (Honours) with a specialization in Education and Coaching from the University of Ottawa. Her educational background has provided her with knowledge of physical and psychosocial determinants of health, psychology, program development and evaluation, physiology, motor control, and motor learning. Her understanding of these areas, among others, supports her person-centred approach to delivering occupational therapy services.
As an occupational therapist, Rylie values integrity and creative problem-solving, which guide her in providing personalized interventions tailored to her clients’ unique needs. Rylie works closely with individuals who have sustained injuries in motor vehicle accidents to address functional challenges across physical, cognitive, and mental health domains. She has experience working with clients of all ages. Specifically, Rylie has supported clients with workplace injuries, chronic pain, and various mental health conditions. She has also gained valuable experience helping adults and older adults after surgery, focusing on mobility, activities of daily living, and discharge planning in an acute care hospital setting. Additionally, Rylie has worked with paediatric clients using child-led, play-based, and neurodiversity-affirming approaches. She values providing paediatric occupational therapy services based on sensory preferences to support children and families build routines and develop strategies to succeed at school and at home. These extensive experiences give Rylie a broad skill set that allows her to address diverse challenges and support clients in regaining independence and improving their quality of life through a compassionate care approach.

In her free time, Rylie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, discovering new music, baking, and being outside in the sunshine.
